We haven't seen Nick Welsh down in Bournemouth/Poole for 5 years! The last time we promoted him was at Mr Kyps whilst he was is his other recent band Skaville UK.

We started the night with some original Boss sounds by the way of DJ Conal Kennedy. Our Band Sound Of The Suburbs came on at 9pm and we managed to get the audience moving to the beat! We hadn't practiced for a month previously but to be honest sometimes that can be better thanks for all your comments the word 'tight' means a lot!!

There were a few PA problems associated with playing in a new venue to sort out earlier on (Thanks John) but when King Hammond came to the stage it was well sorted!! Nick Welsh is a genius when it comes to reproducing the original sounding Boss Reggae Beats. He has recorded three albums The King & I, Jucuzzi and Showbiz in just over a year and they are all now nearly sold out! All the hard work shows as the whole place including the bar staff were skanking away you didn't need to know the songs from these albums to find you feet with the Rocksteady Beat... Nicks vocals were superb and the band including Nick's Son on bass were top notch as you would expect.

After the show DJ Steve Lyons continued the atmosphere with some Northern Soul next door in the Pig & Whistle. A great night which was widely appreciated by the attendees we hope to put some more nights on in here in 2012.
